Chief Scientific Officer - Small Molecule Must be very strong on scientific strategy, including new target vetting/indications selection Must be an extremely strong communicator, both internally and externally. This position will speak with investors and help them understand the science.

The ideal candidate will have experience moving small molecule assets through preclinical studies through to IND. Must have prior experience as a CSO Must embody our cultural values which include Agility, Creativity, and Trust Background in neuro strongly preferred, but I will consider a great candidate that fits the above attributes. Experience moving assets through IND enabling studies and IND applications and, ideally, Phase I trials strongly preferred.

Experience leading small molecule programs highly preferred. Onsite (Bay Area) strongly preferred; regular travel to the Bay Area required (at least 1x/month) if this person is not local. Must be excited to work in a small company environment; we have an exciting catalog of proprietary compounds with novel SAR, and a development candidate for ALS.

This does not mean we can't pay a competitive salary; on the contrary, we prefer to pay very competitive salaries for a seed stage startup, but keep our headcount small. Today we are a team o f 8 FTEs
